Take Hypertension seriously.
Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is defined as presenting a consistent
blood pressure above 130/80, and is one of the most common diseases in the
United States. According to the CDC, nearly 45% of Americans have uncontrolled
hypertension.
Hypertension is known as a "silent disease" as many people with Hypertension do
not have symptoms. People with untreated or uncontrolled Hypertension are at increased
risk of developing heart disease or experiencing a stroke, currently the leading
causes of death in the US.
The good news is that Hypertension can be managed effectively with a combination
of modifications to diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications like smoking cessation,
along with many readily available prescription medications.
Make an appointment and speak with a board-certified Circle Medical provider today
